Description
Rare anatomical teaching model human mandible including the hyoid bone. A beautiful authentic antique anatomical reference and teaching aid meticulously labelled. It’s very rare to find an example with the hyoid bone, a small U-shaped solitary bone, situated in the midline of the neck anteriorly at the base of the mandible and posterior at the fourth cervical vertebra. At one point would have been poart of a fully articulated Human skull and skeleton. One of the wire attachments on the hyoid has become detached.
