Description
An incredibly rare collection of 10 concentration camp official identification ribbons. When you think of the black death or bubonic plague, most think exclusively of the dark middle ages in Europe. Very few are aware of the darkest days of Chinatown in Honolulu from 1899 to 1900. A devastating footnote in history that began with tragic deaths, isolation, quarantines, concentration camps and ‘cleansing’ through intentional and devastating fires, ending ultimately with a dark tally of 71 diagnosed cases, 61 deaths and Chinatown left in smouldering ruins. A detailed historical narrative comes with the collection, being sold as a complete lot.
