An extremely rare clean example, only one other poor condition example ever found sold in 2016 for $1,600. This example is mint, strongly embossed H. Davis & Co’s / Gill Net Float. / Patented. Jan. 16th 1877. One long groove around the middle to attach a net. Pontilled on one end. Rich almost cornflower blue aqua in colour.
