Description
A real novelty! A brass plaque once displayed in the lavatory car of the LMSR cica 1860s. Revealing in the context in that apparently the lavatory at the time emptied straight out of the car onto the tracks with no holding tank. Plaque reads LMSR Will Passengers Kindly Refrain From Using This Water Closet Whilst The Train Is In A station. By Order – LAndrews Regional Manager 1st January 1865. A real oddball to survive, rare and very unique piece of railroad memorabilia and history.
