1870s Fire Marshall Tintype
6th plate 1870’s Fire Marshal. He wears a fantastically embroidered fire department tunic with subtle red tinting. Sporting a dapper kerchief around the neck and a fitted suit jacket for his portrait. The image plate is perfectly flat and the contrast and focus are crisp. It has been cleaned and professionally resealed with P-90 tape. It is housed in an exquisite thermoplastic case. The Union case is made by Peck and company and has tight hinges and good sheen. the high relief designs are undamaged and there are no chips or cracks. The velvet pad is in awesome condition as are the image package elements.
