Lavender perfumed water bottle from 1860-1880. Clear, flint glass. Blown in mold. Laid in collar. Top is cut & polished. Beautiful striations in neck. Hand cut, coloured paper label on front. Prepared only by Weeks & Potter, 360 Washington Street, Boston. Front label has some wear to outside edges. Back label 60 – 70% with legible print. Stands 7.5 in tall, 1.75 in diameter at the base. hand blown clear glass; applied string lip hand finished, smooth mould base This bottle is loaded with character! crude but elegant shape, the base pushes outward from the manufacture process giving it a nice organic presence. The neck is very primitive and beautiful in style, you can see the craftsmanship and personal touch in this piece.
