Set of two administrative ledger books covering from 1910-1915 from Grafton & Co., Limited. Dundas, ON. The Grafton franchise began in the mid 19th century and flourished for over 100 years. It was one of the most prolific and successful department stores in Southern Ontario. These ledgers detail the costs for the products carried in the store, far more interesting, not traditional ledgers detailing customers purchases, these rare ledgers detailed the day to day purchases and overhead by the Grafton stores themselves.

Sold together. Each book is approximately 16.5″x7″x1″. Tight binding, no water damage, very legible.
